Sunday Services


We invite you to join us for one, or both of our Sunday morning worship services, and Sunday School. Each worship service provides a different worship style, offering an environment suitable to whichever you are most comfortable with. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy some great refreshments and get to know one another following each service!

8:00am Church in the Park! (June through September)
If you are an early riser, come and join us for worship on the shores of Lake Shabbona. We meet in the campground in the Gazebo near the Campstore. This is an informal 45 minute service and all are welcome...especially children...and even pets! So come as you are!

10:00am Blended Worship Service
If you are a mid-morning riser, or are familiar with a more Blended style of service, this is for you! Our 10:00am service features a more traditional environment with songs from a wide-range of generations. We attempt to be intergenerational in this service as we blend the needs and desires of all ages towards the Worship of God. Holy Communion is usually on the First Sunday of the Month.


9:00am Sunday School for All Ages (May through September)
We will be starting our Sunday School for the 2007-2008 Academic Year with Rally Day on September 16th. We have classes for all ages including the Adults. We have an active and growing Sunday School and the children sing every fifth Sunday during the morning Worship. With some exception we use curriculum for Group Publishing.


2:00pm Shabbona Healthcare Center (SHC) Worship Service
Everyone is welcome to come and join us for worship as we gather for a non-denominational Worship at SHC. Serivces are held every Sunday by a local community Church. The Shabbona United Church of Christ has responsibility for the Foruth Sunday of each month.

3:00pm Assisted Living Center Worship Service
This service meets every Fourth Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm. This service includes Holy Communion and a devotional thought.

Hearing Impaired
For those with hearing difficulties, we have hearing assist devices. Please ask the usher to supply you with one if needed.

Handicap Accessible
Shabbona United Church of Christ is also handicap accessible. We have a drive around to our middle door entrance where an elevator is provided. Feel free to ask for assistance.
